What happened

A Cursor surface (the IDE or the CLI) has an install location on this host that cannot be confirmed as Cursor: the application is present but its resources/app/package.json is missing, unreadable or names no Cursor product, or the CLI's versions directory exists but cannot be read. doctor reports it as degraded, naming the surface and what it could not read. The version is read from files only — doctor never runs Cursor, whose macOS binary launches the GUI.
